Well, you can’t say that Ford doesn’t know when to strike when the iron’s hot. In the wake of Chevrolet earning scorn from the right wing because of its John Cougar Mellencamp-scored ad, Ford has released its brand-new ad, which stars Republican-loving hulk Toby Keith. Keith spouts a couple of night-MBA-class phrases before launching into what our bretheren at Jalopnik have aptly termed an “Amerigasm,” all the while brandishing a Ford-branded guitar. Yee-ha!

You’re actually wrong about that. Keith is a life-long Democrat who has refused to allow Republicans to play “The Angry American” at political rallies. He’s a Lieberman dem, but a dem none the less.
I wouldn’t really expect much more out of Toby Keith.
It’s the new Volkswagen ad with Slash that makes me sad.
Toby Keith, clearly, is the greatest musical genius of all time.
