One date on the Pet Shop Boys’ upcoming tour itinerary stuck out to us–Nov. 1, when they’ll share a bill with the batter-dipped foodstuffs and demolition derbies of the Arizona State Fair. We’d like to put out an early scene report request to any of our Phoenix-area readers, because we really want to know what happens when a state fair brushes off its dust and gets a little bit more fabulous. (And can you let us know how, exactly, Coca-Cola can be fried? We’re sort of mystified.)

I don’t know about no petshop boys, but Deep Fried Coca Cola? The deep fried coca-cola that I saw at the Texas State Fair was coca-cola flavored batter that was deep fried into little balls, then put in a glass and covered with coke and whipped cream. How could that not be amazing? We in the South have been enjoying such delicacies as Coca-Cola cake for years, though.
Yea, last night I tried the deep fried coke at the Texas State Fair. Coke flavored batter (that doesn’t really have any coke taste) fried into dry balls of cinnamon. Disappointing and we threw it out after two bites. $5 wasted.
However, the deep fried peanut butter, jelly & banana sandwich is TO DIE FOR.
It’s not deep fried, but how can you not love the last item on their fair delicacies list, “Cumber on Lumber”?
isn’t this somehow a whisper of a small apocalypse? poor, poor PSB.
I do not even know how I finished up right here, however I believed this post used to be great. I do not realize who you might be however definitely you are going to a famous blogger should you are not already. Cheers!
