Not to turn into one of our celeb-tracking sister sites, but we saw Ric Ocasek at New York’s Other Music Friday night, and like the rest of the crowd, we couldn’t help but stare in astonishment, mostly because the former Cars frontman stands seventeen feet tall and weighs fifty pounds (all numbers approximate).
We were also impressed by the fact that while most of 57-year-old peers were picking up Norah Jones b-sides at the Tower Records fire sale across the street, Ocasek was buying White Mice’s self-titled debut. Who knew the same guy who brought us “Magic” was into digital reggae?
