We wanted to post Ace Frehley’s fantastic “New York Groove” to celebrate the Mets making it to the series, but alas, that didn’t happen. But here’s the song anyway, with a plea: If anyone happens to have the original version by some group named Hello, could you please send a link (or even an MP3) to tips@idolator.com? We’ve never heard it, and though we can’t imagine how a song that President Bush once called “drunk with swagger” could get any better, we’re curious.
UPDATE: Wow, that was fast: Thanks to the tipster who sent along the Hello version.

?!?!
Best mp3 in a while .
Best mp3 in a while … god I love that drum sound.
But seriously, what’s up with the Bush thing???
Quite possibly the least technically capable guitarist ever to acheive widespread notoriety and popularity. Still, you can’t deny that he had quite a “swagger” and was/is the coolest thing about KISS.
If you dig the band Hello: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello_(band)
They have a track ‘Another School Day’ on Boobs:The Junkshop Glam Discoteque. It’s an excellent compilation and their song rules.
