Brooklyn Rapper Takes Aim At New York City Cops

November 30th, 2006 // 6 Comments

“Incendiary” doesn’t even come close to describing “50 Shots,” the new single from Brooklyn rapper Papoose. Released just a few days after a Queens man was shot to death by police, “50″ bashes the cops, name-checks the New York Post, and ends in a barrage of gunfire; in other words, it’s like 1989 all over again.

Reminds me of the Le Tigre song “Bang! Bang!” where they counted down the 41 shots that killed Amadou Diallo. http://www.amazon.com/Desk-Mr-Lady-Tigre/dp/B0000544AM
