fourtops.JPGThe Four Tops’ 1973 “Are You Man Enough” came out after the group left Motown Records; it appeared on the soundtrack to Shaft in Africa and hit No. 15 on the US pop charts, their last song to chart until the next decade. It’s still pretty terrific, with a bounce-a-quarter-off-it groove and take-no-prisonsers lyrics, and the breakdown right before the end gets us to raise our hands along with it every time.
