The UK foursome is at work on a new record, but for now, we’ll have to tide ourselves over with this spiky, fun album that sounds like it’s on the verge of exhausting itself half the time. During our favorite moments of “Try Me Out,” lead vocalist Nikki Colk adds megaphone-like distortion to her voice; the super-distorted result is that she sounds like a visting counselor at the Willie Mae Rock Camp For Girls’ post-punk day.
