Second Spin: The Skygreen Leopards’ California Love

skygreenleps.jpgWe harped on the Skygreen Leopards’ Disciples of California last September, just a few weeks before it came out and was rapturously received by absolutely no one. Skygreen Leopards were WW’s backup band on one of the dozens of albums he’s released. As with his, the quality of their output varies wildly, but this stuff… not bad. Still a little bit Brian Jonestown-y for my tastes, but not bad.

a little bit Brian Jonestown-y for my tastes,

I don’t really hare it, unless these guys enjoy kicking fans in the head and getting taken to jail for the weekend.

And this band has one of the best names I have ever heard, while the name BJTM is approximately 178.6 times less clever then the person who made it up (i’m presuming it was the headkicker) thinks it is.
