Videodrone: Girls Aloud & Sugababes Go Down On The Muffin, Come Up With Crumbs

February 1st, 2007 // 5 Comments

We’ve made no secret of our affections for UK pop troupes Girls Aloud and Sugababes in the past, and since their version of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” is for charity, maybe we should be nicer. But … ugh. What happened? This is just not good, and we doubt an official video will change our minds. We told you that they should have covered “Toys In The Attic.” (On the bright side, the new single by ex-’Babe Siobhan Donaghy is flipping great, in a Kate-Bush-gone-Popstars kind of way.)

Ouch, my ears! It really upsets me that artists clearly reserve their worst efforts for charity records. Hey, it’s charity, it’s going to sell anyway, so why bother.

can’t wait for the video proper!
