“My Violent Heart” is the first track to surface from Nine Inch Nails’ forthcoming Year Zero, and Fire In The Stereo is the first blog to post it. It’s a little scratchy, but we can’t tell if it’s a radio rip or not, because just about everything Trent Reznor touches is bound to have some surface noise:

Definitely not a radio rip.. the grit is intentional and very Reznor. Trent loves down-sampling and bit crushing. And I love Trent.. Even though he’s 5’6″
Good song, more of a grower than past lead singles from his albums but I’m all for it.
Between this leak and the fact that track one is titled Hyperpower! (exclamation point his), I’m getting pretty psyched for this.

I think I prefer Trent’s skinny, drugged-out look to this Henry Rollins thing he’s got going now.
