Yesterday, Matador’s Matablog posted a track from Imagine Our Love, the new album by Los Angeles quartet Lavender Diamond. And while we’re always a bit iffy on simply cutting-and-pasting whatever free MP3 comes down the PR pipeline, “Open Your Heart” has been playing non-stop pretty much all morning, thanks to its heart-rippingly pretty chorus:

Lavender Diamond are flat out great. The one time I saw them was one of the warmest and downright happiest shows I’ve ever seen a band put on, without being twee gooniness. For that reason alone they deserve much love.
Lavendar Diamond is so intensely adorable it blows my mind.
