Last night, Ego Trip’s (White) Rapper Show closed out its inaugural season on VH1, and the Atlanta MC Shamrock was crowned the $100,000 winner, defying both our predictions and runner-up John Brown’s incessant self-branding. The show threw a wrap party at Southpaw in Brooklyn, and it featured performances by (White) Rapper Show contestants G-Child, Persia, and John Brown, as well as a few choice freestyles, and pleas for a second season, from host MC Serch. Photographer Nikola Tamindzic was on hand, wielding his camera like it was a wireless mic.

having only caught a couple of episodes of the [white] rapper show, it really felt like jon brown was the better rapper. i’m not sure how $hamrock made it as far as he did, or how he won.
i will say this, jon brown’s “hallelujah holla back.” got rather annoying really quickly.
Shamrock’s win was no surprise. Brown had better lyrics but Shamrock sounds like everything that’s on the radio.
Yeah, Jon Brown really has talent, but he’s still got that young cocky attitude that turned a lot of people off. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him and Persia get record deals.
