A friend just sent us a link to the video for Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip’s “Thou Shalt Always Kill” about half an hour ago, and we’ve already listened to the song four or five times; it’s pretty addictive, thanks to Dan Le Sac’s instantly infectious 8-bit backing track and the way that Pip (or can we call him Scroobius?) sounds like what would happen if a crazed preacher suddenly turned into the crankiest music blogger ever. (Also, we love the idea of telling people that they should never “shake it like a polaroid picture” again.)

Now maybe Q Magazine can stop harping on Ray LaMontagne for having a beard (which they did as recently as the January issue.)
BBC Radio 1′s dance DJs have been playing this for a bit. Some cool remixes of it out there.
I wonder, is there an instrumental version of this track anywhere? Please?
OK, now I have a new rock musician I want to lovingly facefuck.
No more wondering what Jason Lytle’s doing since Grandaddy broke up.
