Two things about Alanis Morrisette’s cover of the Black Eyed Peas: One, somewhere, Tori Amos is hunched in front of a laptop, cursing herself for not thinking of giving this rumination on turning men into quivering, ATM-like masses the sad-piano treatment first; two, the joke probably would have worked better had this been released as a ringtone before getting the YouTube treatment. That way, even “sensitive” girls can big-up their bling-attracting powers without saying a word.

I’m particularly fond of the crying/ripping the feather pillow part.
I’ve never understood her genius until now. Especially the coon of ‘lump lump’ and ‘hump hump’.
…..I like her voice, always have. Problem was, I got hooked by “You Oughta Know,” and nothing she’s done since as rocked like that tune!

I haven’t looked at the YouTube comments yet, but I picture things like:
“Is she making fun of BEP?”
“WTF? I can’t dance to this! BOOOOOO!!111!!”

“I don’t get it. Is she making fun of BEP?”
