The American Idol boards have been abuzz with news of a “shocking elimination” on tonight’s episode, which will also feature a Jennifer Lopez performance. In case you click away during Lopez’s attempt to puff up her sagging album sales and miss the evening’s big farewell, we have the name of the candidate who, according to buzz, will be singing tonight’s tearful swan song. Spoilers ahead! If you want to be surprised, don’t click.
Word on the street (well, on the message boards, anyway) is that Lakisha will be going home tonight–and yes, that means that we’ll have Haley Scarnato’s legs to kick around for at least one more week.
It just goes to show you: “Conga” should never, ever be performed in public again–and yet, if this information is legit, we’ll have to hear it again tonight! Oh, cruel irony.

This rumor probably got started because Dialidol has her at the bottom of its rankings. But if that’s the case, it should be noted that only once this season has their bottom-ranked person actually gotten the boot.
Well, DialIdol proved useless yet again. My wife also pointed out earlier tonight, before we watched the results show and Haley’s exit, that everybody on DialIdol was within their clearly stated margin of error.
