Skips from transcoding from aac to mp3? If you’re a music geek with a decent sound card, can’t you just buy a cheap cable, use the analog hole, and do better than that?

@sparkletone: I have no idea what this "oink" is that you speak of - but if I did, I would suggest that a different, perhaps higher quality leak may have appeared there within the past 45 minutes or so.

Also, the iTunes store does now offer some EMI albums in 256kbps, with more labels probably to follow suit.

My understanding is that Oink frowns on transcodes (and iTMS files aren't nice enough to pass the quality requirements to begin with), so there's no way in hell this would be there....
