During one of our many VH1 Classic-watching marathons years ago, we came across a video by a band called Polyrock; the song, “Romantic Me,” was skittish and spare, but this being the earlier days of the Internet, Googleable material on the band was nowhere to be found. But the news that the first two albums by the New York City sextet–both of which were produced by Philip Glass–had been reissued o CD got us pretty excited, although we’re wondering if there’s a day coming when we run out of lost bands to rediscover, and if that day is coming in, say, November or so:

You’re welcome I <3 you Idolator.
I keep waiting for Polyrock’s appearance on Livewire (old ’80s Nickelodeon TV show) to show up on YouTube. They mimed “Romantic Me” and “Changing Hearts.” Phillip Glass and Kurt Munkacsi were interviewed as well. (Tell me where you’d see that kind of programming on kid’s shows today? “Coming up on TRL: Rhys Chatham!”)
if you dig Polyrock and you’d like to check out a couple of other tracks, there’s a few at http://www.loudersoft.com/?p=3319
