After A Brief, Yet Too-Long Hiatus, Veronica Mars Is Ready To “Rally”

veronicamars.jpgNow that we’re past the CW’s foray into the shallow end of the musical pool, our Tuesday nights can (at least for now) be full of the fine program Veronica Mars, and its Mark McGrath-free song selections. Last night’s episode–during which our heroine was both sassier and classier than any of those wannabe Dolls–not only came up with a cute “alternate name” for Yo La Tengo, its triangle-cliffhanger closing scene was scored with Phoenix’s longingly knotty “Rally,” which only added to the tension (seriously, we’ve been trying to avoid checking SpoilerFix.com since the credits rolled):

speaking of CW’s foray into the indie rock pool, last night they name-dropped Tokyo Police Club and Grizzly Bear on “Gilmore Girls.”

I’m headed straight for those spoilers. With luck they’ll involve really bad things spread over a long period of time and lovingly depicted.

I haven’t checked the spoilers, but I hate that Piz douche.
