Stuck On Repeat: Giving Electrelane A Shout

snipshot_e41glxxa4ftg.jpgWe’ve long been fans of the British quartet Electrelane, whose prickly guitars and chaotic harmonies recall an amps-turned-way-up homage to New Zealand’s Look Blue Go Purple. Electrelane’s latest album, No Shouts, No Calls, comes out in the States today, and we’re especially digging “To The East,” which has twinkly keyboards and gently pleading vocals:

    I like Electrelane, but they can’t beat LBGP’s songwriting in my opinion. I still listen to their “compilation” CD all the time.

    electrelane = awesome. axes was great; “eight steps” is my jam. this new one should be awesome.

    I’m a big fan of “Saturday” off this record. And the opener “The Greater Times”. This is easily my favorite record of the year so far, and I have a hard time thinking anything is going to top it……
