A Record Player That’s About As Lo-Fi As You Can Get

cardtalk.jpgThanks to Line Out for posting about the CardTalk Simple Talking Machine, the only record player we know of that uses the same materials as the diorama we made about Ramona And Her Father back in elementary school. In keeping with the CardTalk’s low-tech nature, Neat Science has some hand-drawn how-tos, in case you find yourself with a lot of cardboard and free time anytime soon. Now, who’s going to go that extra nerd mile and come up with a way to get a USB line out of this thing?

    I could see them selling “Make your own Cardtalk kits” in the toy section of Urban Outfitters right next to the Pac-Man sex dice.
