Real Girl, the first solo album from ex-Sugababe Mutya Buena, is out in the UK today, and from what we’ve heard it seems to be extremely indebted to songs she’s heard on the radio through the years. The title track, which we posted a couple of months ago, sampled the string sweep from Lenny Kravitz’s “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over,” and “B-Boy Baby,” which we just found over at Kevipod Music, not only nicks the chorus of the Ronettes’ “Be My Baby” wholesale, it enlists Amy Winehouse on backup-vocal duties, no doubt to give the song some extra bouffant cred:

I’ve been rocking the “Real Girl” track you guys posted for months now, and I’m still crazy about the fall ’06 Sugababes single “Easy” (when that chorus hits, it’s like a widebody jet taking off).

So, long story short, keep it up – I could listen to these hypoglycemic singles all summer.
