I often wonder if frustrated scribes put obvious lies like this in their copy as a vent after interviewing an asstarded subject who will get in the mag one way or the other. (You think they'd spike a cover story just 'cause the pride of the Ottawa valley couldn't rub her three brain cells together that day?) I'm surprised the byline wasn't Alan Smithee.

@Catbirdseat: For the record, I would like to say that the only times in recent years I ever "read" the aforementioned magazines is thumbing through them at the airport--the only way they should/can be. I haven't read Spin since Sia Michel left and everything went to shit--looking through their "what's on rotation at the Spin offices" when traveling last week was in a word: laughable. But you HAVE to admit that Spin used to be a decent read once upon a time. Blender? Never. In fact, Blender ruined Spin, one of the last decent high-profile music glossies. Kicks in the balls for Blender, thank you.

I'm honestly dumbfounded that any of you, my fellow commenters, actually read *ANY* of these magazines. You might as well hand the publisher $10 dollars, and then watch as he lights it up with a match in front of your eyes.

@aniktwo: Amen--on the music mags nowadays. But Blender over Spin? Granted they are almost the same magazine at this point, but Blender is a 90-page headache.
