Apparently, Touring Really Cuts Into Akon’s Apologizing Time
Akon has posted a song apologizing for most of his recent transgressions–at least all of those that predate that fan-tossing incident–to his MySpace page. Called “Sorry Blame Me,” the track addresses a few people Akon has wronged, including, apparently, his mom; the last verse of the song addresses the whole fan-humping incident from a few months back, and Akon explains his silence with the following lyrics:
‘I’m sorry that it took so long to speak
but I was on tour with Gwen Stefani”
Guess his “people” forgot to tell him about the sponsorships drying up.

Also? At the beginning he goes “I want to take this time now to apologize for the things I’ve done and the things that haven’t occurred yet.”
Good thing he has faith in himself.
@The Shit Disturber: It’s the “Sorry 2004″ of 2007! Or 2008?
Any chance he apologizes for just straight-up sucking ass at making music?
It would be SO meta- making a shitty song, where he says sorry for making shitty songs.
Is the “speak” lyric a dumb reference to “Don’t Speak?”
heidiho: let’s not give him more credit than he deserves.
Does he take his shirt off before sprouting half assed apologies?
And now for some unintentional Wikipedia humor:

Two possible birthdays? Not shady at all Akon.
