To Be Fair, Prolonged Alcohol Abuse Can Be Quite “Exhausting”

Some are calling Amy Winehouse’s trip to the hospital yesterday–which was initially attributed to “exhaustion”–the result of a “drugs collapse.” Not to say that this was bound to happen sooner rather than later, but I can’t help but wonder how this is going to affect “Rehab”’s radio fate here in the US. Now that Amy’s “no, no, no”-ing has resulted in her collapsing in a hospital’s emergency room, surely some group will come out of the woodwork to protest her popularity among the TRL set, right? Or is lyric-fueled outrage only reserved for hip-hop artists in these post-Imus times?

Just carrying that thing around on her head must be exhausting. I’d be laid-out in a few minutes.

If she didn’t have that beehive to remind us, how could we ever tell her apart from that guy in Deerhunter?
