I’d be ashamed of knowing this, but I was just flipping channels past Fox at that moment–I swear!
Am I the only one who’s really bothered by the fact that most of the “contestants” on this show are actually crappy wannabe actors and/or comedians (most of whom have totally fabricated back stories)?

(I understand that it’s no news flash that people on “reality” shows are often actors, but seriously. This is KARAOKE. The whole point of the show is that it’s supposed to be your fellow heartland Americans onstage, just like the drunks you see belting out Whitesnake songs at the Wing Shack, not some Hollywood Boulevard starf*ckers.)
