Kylie Minogue apparently hit the gay clubs in London and learned how to become the “perfect drag queen” for the above clip, which showcases her vampy new single “2 Hearts.” The song’s a piano-slamming stomp that was produced by the British electronica outfit Kish Mauve, and it’s succeeding quite well on the “taking my attention way from In Rainbows” front (five plays already!); also, I suspect that playing it back-to-back with Rachel Stevens’ cracked-bubblegum classic “Some Girls” will result in some perfect storm of ferocious brassiness.

This is great! Not what I was expecting based on what’s already leaked. And pretty Goldfrapp-y, but that’s only a good thing.
Velvet Goldmine-ariffic!/Louboutin-tastic!
My head just exploded all over the place. Kylie is slowly but surely acually turning into Jake Shears. Or is it the other way around?
Or rather: Squeeeeee!
And dude, good call on the Rachel Stevens pairing.
Love the song, love the video…
But does anyone else think Kylie looks like a Bette Midler sexbot in this video as opposed to the Marilyn Monroe vibe?
@Rilo-Andy: Er, clearly that’s what being the BEST DRAG QUEEN EVER means, duh! Marilyn who?
@therichgirlsareweeping: Manson, kind of: [www.youtube.com]
(I mean that in a good way)
@BeRightBack: Hahah, now that’s something I hadn’t considered. She’s clearly wearing as much makeup as little Brian Warner, at least. Long live glitter and feathers, btw.

“sigh” goldfrapp beat you to it, Miss Minogue.
Goldfrapp may have beat her to it, but Minogue doesn’t have that icy distance that can make Goldfrapp a bit of a slog at times. And I like Goldfrapp. But this new Kylie song is pretty great.
