The anthem singer at Game 5 of the American League Championship Series, set for tonight in Cleveland: Danielle Peck, an Ohio-born country singer who likes to “keep it country and keep it real.” What caused her to catch the eye of the talent bookers at Jacobs Field? I’m going to guess that it wasn’t her music as much as it was the fact that she used to date Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett, who just happens to be the starter for the visiting team tonight. C’mon, Indians–isn’t the possibility of a plague of bugs descending on the field enough psychological warfare? [Cleveland Plain Dealer]
