Two Nights, Two Liveblogs: Because You Shouldn’t Have A Life, Either

November 7th, 2007 // 2 Comments

Remember how a ringing plurality of you wanted us to liveblog the Brad Paisley-tastic 41st Annual CMA Awards, which will be airing tonight at 8 p.m. ET? Well, your wish is granted: I’ll be back on the live-blogging beat this evening, having finally cast off all the demons that attached themselves to my soul the last time I did this sort of thing. (I do, however, have an emergency bottle of prosecco in the fridge, in case the Eagles’ performance–oh yes are they performing tonight–drags on for longer than 10 minutes.) And tomorrow, we’re sending Kate to the taping of mtvU’s Woodies, since she’s the only member of the Idolator staff who actually gets the channel; not only will she be in the “liveblogging pit,” which I am hoping comes equipped with those plastic balls that are in the IKEA playroom, we somehow got her red-carpet access, which means that she’ll get to come face-to-face with all those dudes who she’s only seen through the eyes of bandom writers. And Annie Lennox. Suggest any questions you might have for them in the comments section!

you know that urban legend about how “cellar door” is the most beautiful phrase in the english language or whatever? “liveblogging pit” is totally the polar opposite of that. vom!
