Two shots of his face in that patented school-photo “full-on-slash-profile” style! A headphone jack that looks like it’s about to turn on him and wring his neck! Shooting stars that look like they were painted on at the last minute! I do have to give him props for including a few 45 adapters in the galaxy behind him, but still… am I unaware of the agreement that American Idol contestants are contractually obligated to have terrible covers for their first post-show albums?

@Moimeme: I had pictures taken that way one year in grade school, probably because it was the cool thing to do in the early ’80s.
Too bad the name of his album isn’t “White Lion”, because really, that’s all I can picture him as with that background.
