The New Futureheads Single Takes Us For A Breakneck Drive

The video for “Broke Up The Time” is pretty much a stop-gap measure to make sure the song’s out there on the Internet–unless you get off on rolling shots of the grey European countryside and pale English dudes too sexy for their mandals–but that’s just fine by us. The Pete Shelley guitars and delinquent four-part gang harmonies have the same jittery, pop-punk thrill of all the best Futureheads songs, though the band continues to chill slightly on the tightly interlocking yelps and jerked time-changes of old. Because hey, we all lose some of our spazz as we age.
