trent-reznor.jpgSure, everyone remembers Prince getting that shoutout in the Pretty Hate Machine liner notes, and but these pop-funky Nine Inch Nails demos are a glimpse of how an alternate universe Trent Reznor could have easily become a pale PA cousin to Stevie B. Since Trent’s joined the pay-what-you-will school and is such an OiNK fan, we’ll also just assume he won’t be pissy about someone posting his unreleased early work. [McCrank's Juke]

Too bad they didn’t include the Head Like a Hole (Go-Go mix). It has the exact same beat as “Release It” by Morris Day and the Time.

These tracks have been available for years. Any good bootleg or urban record store sells this as “Purest Feeling.”

“Maybe Just Once” is my favorite — Trent singing over Book of Love-style music. (Which is no bad thing.)
