lonnnngroad.jpgIn case you haven’t bought your copy of Long Road Out Of Eden yet, there’s good news: Only three weeks after its release, the album’s coming out in a deluxe two-disc version, complete with 40-page booklet and “red linen wrapping.” Hey, Don Henley, way to make the one and a half million people who already plunked down the cash for your album feel like complete chumps! Report: Plaxico 'badly' wants to play for Eagles
Plax, of course, ended up playing for the Jets, and caught 45 passes for 612 yards and eight touchdowns. He'll be a free agent on March 13, though, and according to Howard Eskin of NBC 10 in Philadelphia, he "wants" to play for the Eagles this time around.
Eagles can learn lesson from Giants
Another Super Bowl has passed, which means Eagles fans are left wondering for the 52nd straight championship-less season why some other team was getting a victory parade and confetti dumped upon them. But this one has to hurt the Eagles more than most, and ...

One step forward from the major label-driven business, two steps back to the usual greedy ways. I wish ‘Long Road Out Of Eden’ would disappear from the charts because people are so pissed off by all this, but unfortunately most people are so used to it that they won’t even mind.

@GovernmentNames: That makes it even more despicable, because the only people who do give a damn about that stuff (long time, hardcore Eagles fans) have most certainly already plunked down for the first double-disc! Now the record company expects them to pay full CD price for 2 measly songs (one of which is a fucking Christmas cover!) And Wal-mart acts like they’re doing them a favor.

The Eagles greedy? Say it ain’t so!

Has anyone noted yet that album cover looks like one of those new age synth noodling + nature sounds albums?

Let’s not get crazy here — the original album was already a double CD, they’re just adding 2 songs, not a whole bunch of bonus music. If anyone’s stupid enough to give a damn about thicker liner notes and red linen wrapping, let them waste their money.

    Baby boomers do love linen.

Actually, the two “bonus” tracks were already included in the 2cd compilation that the Eagles released a couple of years ago, which die-hard fans probably own…
