As part of their trip to New York, the spitfire chick-fronted emo outfit Paramore played a “first come, first served” acoustic set at the Helio store in SoHo yesterday. Idolator videographer Alex Goldberg hit up the line outside to see how long the band’s fans would wait in the not-really-all-that-warm November weather for the chance to see an unplugged performance by the band, find the one person in line with a Y chromosome, and deduce whether or not the mobile carrier would be able to say that this bit of cross-promotion had actually resulted in people abandoning their Sidekicks and Blackberries.

So much backwards hair….

You’ll know what to look at.
I’m going to say Helio definitely can place this in the “win” column. I’m never getting one of their phones, but I now now that they have stores… Always seemed like the sort of thing that would have a counter at Hot Topic.
“I’ve been listening to them for a few years now.”
Nice of him to assert his cred and let us know that old Paramore, that’s the stuff we need to hear. Also good to know that listening to shitty music isn’t some new thing for him. Practically old hat, really.

hahahaha
Gotta give the kids some credit for knowing their music. When I was 13 I was seeing Phish and getting stoned out of my mind. For them to be aware of the acoustic and intimate setting is just touching…
Go Long Island Youth!
I look pretty damn good for someone that could barely feel their fingers, lol. And the wait was totally worth it, the set was amazing!!
