Review-and-download clearinghouse/friend of Idolator Paper Thin Walls launched its downloadable 2007 mixtape today, featuring 32 tracks that were, in the minds of its contributors, “the closest thing to a number one that a record label would let us post for free.” Among the artists included: Grinderman, M.I.A., and Marnie Stern. And those of you who think that PTW has its hooks in every bit of music writing on the Internet/are interested in the idea of “full disclosure” should probably know that Jess, Matos, and I were given the bandwidth to throw in our year-end two cents.
