Unsane Mounts The Pavement

Last night my roommate and I whiled away an hour of our lives watching an MTV2 program devoted entirely to skateboarding goobers breaking bones and tearing large gashes in various tender parts of their bodies. (Now that’s the kind of shotgun, “we need an hour’s worth of content by Tuesday” reality TV programming I can get behind.) Naturally it made me think of the infamous clip for New York noise-rockers Unsane’s “Scrape,” which still reduces me to giggles more than a decade later. Ah, faceplants and crotches colliding with metal railings. Good morning, everybody!

Idolator is becoming a destination for 90’s indie nostalgia.

@jessdolator: It’s OK. 30 is like the new 15 or something.

I know your pain, I’m meeting fewer and fewer teenagers who existed in the Eighties.
