The whole album is wonderful, and it’s been getting no year-end love from (almost) anybody. It’s the album I’ve listened to, start to finish, more than any other this year.

by piccadilly station i sat down and wept was my favorite song title of the year. well, that and get naked (i got a plan). but yeah, out of the woods is great. tracey thorn is one of those people (like amelia fletcher) that could do an album of orchestral michelle branch covers and i’d still think she was awesome.

Wow, totally was not expecting to see this on your list. Color me impressed. Several tracks from Out of the Woods have the highest playcount in my iTunes 2007 folder. Definitely the most overlooked album of the year. I’m particularly fond of “Grand Canyon.”
