In a bit of well-played counterprogramming that will maybe make TNT think twice about its continued insistence to air episodes from the Rohm/Thompson era while I'm trying to distract myself from work (save that crap for the 5 a.m. Sunday slot!), today's TRL will feature footage of Patrick Stump's appearance on the Law & Order season premiere. Surely I'm not the only one who has high hopes for this season because Good Ol' Fred is off trying to smirk his way to the Oval Office? You better not let me down, District Attorney Jack McCoy! [MTV]

That came out all wrong. WHat I meant was, the creation of a fictional character played by, and therefore a handy representative for, a previously bandomed dude is just an invitation for people who wouldn't necessarily have stooped to bandom to write the one-shot character into their fandoms.
Yikes. I don't read any fandoms but I doubt any of you will believe that now that I've posted this. Ah well.
