That’s the word on the blogs anyway. Who knew this would be the classiest Nas cover since Illmatic? It’s certainly the classiest album cover to ever prominently feature a racial slur. Can’t wait to see the in-store merchandising options.

I am told that this cover is a reference to an oft-repeated racist joke that goes something like:

So the title is “Igger” now? That’s much better, something everyone can enjoy!
With that title, that parental advisory sticker is almost superfluous. I say almost because there’s no way the record stores won’t cover that incendiary term some way or another.
Not bad. If that’s real, he’s playing this a lot smarter than he could be. I don’t know why I keep on buying Nas albums, though.
