The Kinks Join The Reunion-Tour Parade (Lego Kinks Probably Not Included)
The latest boomer musical staples to have reunion rumors swirling around them: The Kinks, who are reportedly bringing their original lineup–Ray Davies, Dave Davies, Mick Avory, and Pete Quaife–back together for the first time since Quaife quit the band in 1969. At least, that’s what the UK tabloid the Mirror is claiming; the idea is that the Davies brothers and co. will tour around the release of their forthcoming box set Retrospective. No confirmations as of yet, but why not take this opportunity to watch this loving Lego re-creation of a 1965 performance of “All Day And All Of The Night” featuring the rumored-to-be-reuniting members? It’s no Barbie-as-Karen Carpenter, but it sure is adorable.

According to Ray and Dave’s son, he’s been recovering. I saw them in 1981 and ‘83 and a few other times. As well as seeing Ray to his solo stuff. I would actually go and see this. I have a strange unquenchable passion for the Kinks.
