Was it a fitting preview for the next 12 months that the that the first bit of music-related TV programming I saw in 2008 involved Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and/or Ryan Seacrest. (It's definitely fitting that one of the first text message I recieved in '08 was Maura offering "LOL @ the Jones [sic] Brothers in a top hat," because these are the things we talk about now.) And in case it wasn't obvious before, Jonas Brothers fans are as serious as the haters. Maybe moreso!
Please enjoy this one out of a million clips of their performance uploaded to YouTube over the last two days, taped by ultra-desperate kids (who apparently can't work a TiVo?) by pointing the video camera at the TV. (At least this one has sound.) Who says devotion towards musicians is dead in a downloading world? And will there be any escape this year from Jonas-related shennanigans? Only ADiehardFOBFan can save us now.

You do know that on top of "multiple tours" effective pretty much immediately, they have both a TV series AND a High School Musical type movie coming out on the Disney Channel next year? And that Julie Brown wrote the songs for it? Heaven.
