What We Will Actually Miss About Compact Discs?

Things like this surly looking “Furgle,” discovered and photographed by Maura, presumably in one of Los Angeles’ finer dollar stores. Because in the rush to shrink our portable music libraries down to the width of a credit card, we have lost the ability to do important, hilarious things. Like stick Muppet eyeballs on an iPod. Because that’s not “streamlined.” Where will the oversized plush CD carriers go, when there are no more CDs? Perhaps if we all cry real tears, the CD Magic Fairy will come and grant life to all the remaindered Furgles so they can live in peace at the Half.com warehouse. Or perhaps I’m losing my mind.

Storing CDs separate from their jewel cases is an abomination in the eyes of God in the first place.
