dudes just how much longer do you think its gonna take before bonafide online ad buyers decide to stop doing struggling content websites this huge favor of just throwing money at 'em for miniscule effects on awareness/sales...

personally im sick to death of all these supposedly "new fangled" but truly "me-too" websites and the lame business models and lame value to consumers being proffered

Can anyone actually download the Qtrax Beta? I went to their web site and the download button does not work at all. I am wondering if the Qtrax really is in beta. If it were users would actually be able to download the software. If users can not download the beta, I am wondering if the beta really exists, and that Qtrax was not able to technically deliver.

A lot of people believe their technical approach was not technically viable in the first place. As far as I can see, the Qtrax beta is vapor.

did the beta launch today? i happened to stroll by the site and posted that the beta was up, but i don't know when it went live.

the fact that qtrax doesn't get into the details leads me to believe the details are going to be very disappointing. a p2p service that returns only licensed tracks is going to have a tough time gaining users. since the service is supported by ads (read: free) there will almost certainly be some sort of locks on the tracks. anybody who wants that kind of pain and suffering should just pony up the money for a good subscription service like rhapsody.

a point of clarification: spiralfrog tracks expire after 30 days if you don't log in to update your account. otherwise they keep on playing.
