Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios Park will be opening up an American Idol attraction later this year, one that, according to a Disney flack, will “try to recreate the excitement of those 24 people who show up on that ‘American Idol’ stage.” Apparently, they’ll be treated to a full-on hair and makeup and vocal-lesson routine backstage before singing before three judges–who are selected from the crowd. Why do I have a feeling that the heckling judging positions are going to have a much longer line than the one leading to on-stage “stardom”? [AP]

This makes my heart cry. Tears.
