Matos covered a recent British top 10 in Project X today, but further down this week’s chart (at No. 31, specifically) is the above track, which those of you who were really into buying cassingles back in the early ’90s might remember: It’s the Utah Saints’ Kate Bush-sampling “Something Good,” which has been given the remix treatment by Aussie outfit Van She some 16 years after its initial success. For comparison’s sake, here’s the original track. Since we’ve now apparently moved on to the early ’90s as far as quick-cash-in remakes/mixes go, can a reworking of the Farm’s “Groovy Train” be far behind? [BBC / YouTube]

Maybe they can just remake the whole Only For the Headstrong comp as Now That’s What I Call (Nu)Rave.
I eagerly await the re-remixes of Candy Flip’s “Strawberry Fields Forever” and Soho’s “Hippychick.”
Oh, and: UTAH SAINTS! UTAH SAINTS! UTAH SAINTS! U-U-U-UTAH SAINTS!
Showing my age,

@futurehorse: Oh, man, can this happen? Please? A roommate of mine took our only copy of Only for the Headstrong years ago, and I’m still jonesing for it.
There’s surely some money to be made on updating any number of tracks from the back catalog of the Stereo MCs.
They’d best not touch “Groovy Train”. Just sayin’…
Love this remix and man I fucking loved that track, almost the second electronic album I ever bought.
I still slam that thing on as loud as possible so I can yell out the KISS sample at the beginning.
I’m crossing my fingers that “Papua New Guinea” doesn’t also get re-mainstreamed. I can’t even imagine what it would sound like these days; probably a split second of Lisa Gerard with a “Hit it!” smothering it and an extended video of sexy-dancin models.
