Yesterday when the news broke that a “never-before-seen picture of Marilyn Monroe hitchhiking nude” had somehow been found in an old car and subsequently certified by a “Marilyn expert,” I joked to some friends, “Ha ha, do you think that they’re just getting confused by that picture of Madonna hitchhiking nude that Steven Meisel shot for Sex?” (Link NSFW, obv.) Well, as it turns out, that’s exactly what happened. Looks like somebody needs to head to the eye doctor! [BBC]
