Yesterday when the news broke that a “never-before-seen picture of Marilyn Monroe hitchhiking nude” had somehow been found in an old car and subsequently certified by a “Marilyn expert,” I joked to some friends, “Ha ha, do you think that they’re just getting confused by that picture of Madonna hitchhiking nude that Steven Meisel shot for Sex?” (Link NSFW, obv.)
