barneysurfs.jpgWhat do Deicide, David Gray, and Barney the Purple Dinosaur have in common? They’ve all performed songs that guards and interrogators on U.S. military bases have used to “induce sleep deprivation, ‘prolong capture shock,’ disorient detainees during interrogations–and also drown out screams,” according to a leaked interrogation log. I wonder if they used that Barney song about brushing your teeth. That one always tortures me.

Why should we be the only ones tortured by these people’s songs?

Bah! There’s no reggaeton on that playlist so is not a “torture playlist”…

Hey I already had that playlist on my iPod…….

Whoever picked the Meow Mix song deserves a medal of honor, but other than that and Barney it would pretty much just be like making them listen to the radio. Except better, because there wouldn’t be any commercials.

So THIS is why I lost all that weight in 2002! I thought I had caught a severe stomach flu, but it turns out it was from hearing and seeing the nausea-inducing Xtina writhe around in the mud and pronounce her artistic independence by shouting to the world how proud she was of both her inept vocabulary and her woggy midriff.

I think Arcade Fire was placed a little too high and I can’t believe they snubbed “A Place To Bury Strangers.” I guess LCD soundsystem at #1 is still in awesome pick though… Oh wait, wrong list.
