A single of my preferred points about blogging is this community of bloggers. We aren’t cut-throat. We share successes and miseries. And when anything performs, we don’t preserve it to ourselves – we want it to perform for anyone. I love blogging and hope that it becomes full-time 1 day, but I love the studying and growing (the journey) and am a really patient man.

I knew Steven aka Static…he and i attended the same church. I’d known since i was about 12…He was a really great person and he was very talented i can’t imagine how hurt his family and friends feel because he was such a great influence on everyone that met him…Once again music has lost another really great person!

RIP Static,i really didnt know him,just love the song he had with Lil Wayne,and i was like..who is this handsome and talented guy?so i later checked on the end of the song…i saw ‘IN MEMORIES’ so i decided to run a search on him…Such a talented young guy…I pray that may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace,and God bless your family..we miss you and rest in paradise..my regards to Aaliyah….You song lives on..and you,re will forever be remembered…RIP my man,Dave from Nigeria

This man (co-)wrote so many of my favorite R&B songs! “Are You That Somebody?”, “We Need a Resolution”, “Rock the Boat”, “More Than a Woman”, “Try Again”, “Lose My Breath”, “Check on it”, “Get Me Bodied”, even “Yeah” en “Goodies”. A big loss for music.

Thanks, it’d really bum me out if his passing went totally under the radar. Seems like kind of a thankless job to have written the melodies and lyrics to accompany some of the most attention-grabbing production of all time. But a lot of those songs wouldn’t have been hits without his tunes, and he did some pretty awesome stuff even without Timbaland (Jay-Z’s “Change The Game,” Truth Hurts’ “Addictive,” David Banner’s “Crank It Up,” etc.)
