It always seems like an indictment of their own venue that they don't have the inductions at the actual hall of fame. Like if Jann Wenner had to leave Manhattan his skin would evaporate or something.
When Justin Timberlake is the main attraction at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, we know music has reached an all time low.
What next, Haylie Duff and Benji Madden performing an homage to "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? Timbaland as "special guest DJ"?
This oozes lameness
I'm holding out hope that when Madonna steps up to accept her induction, she'll reach up under her chin and pull her face back over her head, revealing herself to be none other than Iggy Pop.
But then I wish all things in life were like an episode of Scooby Doo.
I just wish that the modern day Lady of the Manor Madonna wasn't the one accepting the award -- you know it's going to be a pompous and humorless affair.
@HONEYBFLY: i wouldn't put the timbaland spot past them actually.
@Nicolars: Surely you jest, good sir! I find that House Madonna is most droll this season.
iggy pop performing madonna? that's enough to make me tune in and watch. it's gonna be aired live on VH1 Classic (8:30/7:30c). more details over at their site www.vh1classic.com
