In my haste to complain about Alex Lushington’s boot from American Idol I forgot to note that last night’s telecast also announced this year’s edition of “Idol Gives Back,” the telethon that features lots of guest stars and lots of medleys. This year’s installment will take place April 9, and among the celebs on hand will be Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, and Snoop Dogg, all of whom I am hoping will get together for a big ol’ “We Are The World” style group sing at end.
