But judging by how many 2006 Jackin’ Pop ballots Chavez appeared on (including mine) thanks to their complete discographical compilation Better Days Will Haunt You, the knotty ’90s New York indie rockers are still widely beloved (at least by rock critics) for records like the tender “The Unreal Is Here,” a slightly anomalous entry in their all-killer catalog with a big ol’ wink of a video that captures their brief heyday of stadium-hopping and hobnobbing on choppers with current and future Hollywood celebs located on lists b through z.
